Welcome to the RedPointe Vizslas website! We are Shawn and Amy Barnes. The picture to the left is our Christmas 2008 photo. We had three beagles (Hershey, Rhett, and Scarlett-Hershey has now passed) and two vizslas (Gabi and Gunnar). Since getting Gabi, our first vizsla, our lives have totally changed (for the better, of course!).  Our dogs are a HUGE part of our lives. Most of our decisions revolve around them, which is exactly how a vizsla likes it! We believe the vizsla is a very special breed who can do anything and everything. If we decide to breed our dogs, we will abide by the Vizsla Club of America code of ethics and will only do so if we truly believe the litter will better the breed. The dual qualities and versatility of the breed is a precious characteristic that we want to pass on to future generations. We currently compete in conformation, hunt tests and field trials. We have competed in rally and look forward to competing in agility and obedience and maybe even some tracking. We are members of the Vizsla Club of America, the Trinity Valley Vizsla Club, the South Louisiana Vizsla Club and the Texas Gulf Coast Vizsla Club.
